Leadership
You know the value true leadership offers an organization, and you've probably also seen the challenges that can be created when leadership is lacking within a hospital. It gets in the way of effective patient care. It frustrates talented staff members. And it has a negative effect on morale.
Here, we make leadership work to the benefit of everyone – our patients, our staff, our community and our facility. We develop leadership from within through formal succession planning, and then provide ongoing support once someone advances into a leadership role, including:
- Related education sessions for executives and managers
- Knowledge and confidence building
- Tools to balance the needs of the organization with the needs of each employee
Our Organizational Development Department provides courses just for new leaders, which cover the following topics:
- Communication
- Conflict management
- Interviewing skills
- Budget creation and monitoring
- Strategies for balancing work and life
- Working with different generations
- Appreciating diversity
It's our way of recognizing the value of leadership and the positive impact good leaders have on our ability to deliver the best medical care.
