Workplace Awards

Best Places to Work:
Polk Works WorkForce 2020 recognizes Polk County companies that are taking the lead in developing quality workplaces that allow employees to excel. The award places Lakeland Regional Medical Center among the most innovative organizations in the areas of motivating and retaining employees, training and development initiatives, and workplace practices that promote a healthy work/life balance.

Clinical Awards

2008 Silver Performance Achievement Award:
LRMC is one of only 93 hospitals nationwide to receive this award from ACTION Registry Get With the Guidelines. It recognizes success in reaching an aggressive goal of treating coronary artery disease patients according to standard levels of care outlined by the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association. More importantly, it demonstrates our commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart disease patients.

3 Star Rating for Heart Surgery:
The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) honored LRMC with its highest hospital designation for a second consecutive year. A three-star rating for quality heart surgery — signaling exceptional quality and clinical excellence — was attained.

Gold Seal of Approval™:
Following an unannounced on-site review in April 2008, the Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Centers awarded Lakeland Regional Medical Center a Gold Seal of Approval. This distinction is a reflection of our dedication to ensuring that LRMC has all the critical elements in place that are necessary for improving outcomes for stroke patients, both now and in the future.
